8th Grade Science
Welcome to my class website!
Homework is posted daily on the board in the classroom. It is the student's responsibility to write down the homework in their agenda.
The majority of handouts are posted on my google classroom. Students will be able to access all assignments, handouts, and notes on their google classroom page. Students are responsible for checking google classroom for all assignment updates. When a student is absent, they need to check google classroom to see what they missed. Students should feel free to email me at [email protected] with any questions.
Middle School Science Curriculum
The RBUSD Board of Education adopted Amplify Science as the District’s adopted K-8 science curriculum at the June 26th Board meeting. The selection of Amplify Science represented the culmination of a winter/spring 2018 process during which a number of science curriculums were evaluated in 47 classrooms across District middle schools and all elementary schools. Due to the newness of the state’s K-12 science standards, the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS), the District conducted an instructional materials evaluation to investigate the best K-8 science curriculum to support students. In our science implementation, the District partnered with BaySci- a partnership between U.C. Berkeley and the Lawrence Hall of Science to support school districts focused in improving K-12 science teaching and learning.
