The power to change the world

WELCOME TO MY WORLD

My philosophy is simple. It's all about the kids!

As this year begins, we are reminded that it is connections and relationships that are the most important thing in the world. I won't guarantee that the year will go along without bumps in the road, but I will tell you that I will do my very best to give your student what they need. It is a learning experience for me as much as you and your student. As we navigate through the many changes that our world will experience in the next year, please  be patient, ask your student if they have the answer, and reach out with your questions or concerns.

A little about me:

I have three kids of my own; one just successfully defender her Thesis and is now a Dr. In Theoretical Chemistry and is working at the University of Virginia, and one is pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering after graduating with honors from Redondo Union, the last is pursuing an Archery career and her goals include the Olympics and coaching. A few things that I truly enjoy are: reading, running and the beach. I dreamed of teaching in Redondo Beach when I was younger and I am currently living my dream. I like to run, and have done many 5k's, 10k's and half marathons. I completed one marathon, Boston virtually during covid. I believe one is enough :-)I have a pink belt in women's self defense from Gracie Jui Jitsu.  I truly enjoy learning about your kids and their families. I believe that the more I care about them, the more they will learn. Since 2004 I have taught a variety of grade levels and content from Kindergarten through high school Language Arts. My heart belongs in sixth grade though. I am strict but fair when it comes to learning. I believe with hard work everyone can not only learn but master the content.   I am honored to be teaching your kids and be a part of the Adams Middle School family since 2014.
